When I started looking for strollers, I was clear that I wanted something beautiful, functional, and durable. I’m not expecting another baby (for now, although it’s in my plans!), but I still wanted to try a stroller that would give me more options without having to buy another one later.

That’s when I found the Joie Chive Single-to-Double Stroller, and although it sounds strange to choose a convertible for two babies when you only have one… trust me, it was one of my best decisions.

Versatility without complications

This stroller is designed to grow with the family, but that doesn’t mean you can’t use it 100% with just one baby. It’s super comfortable, has a modern and elegant design, and the best part: you can add a second seat if you ever need it (or if you’re out with a cousin, nephew, or your baby’s friend).

I see it as a smart investment. I’d rather have the option and not need it yet than need it later and have to buy a whole other stroller.

Smooth Rides, No Drama

From the first ride, I was surprised by how easy it is to handle. It has puncture-free wheels, ideal for bumpy streets or parks. The handlebar is adjustable, which I appreciate because I’m just over 5’4″ and many strollers are uncomfortable for me.

The canopy is huge, with UPF 50+ sun protection, and has a small window so you can see your baby without having to bend down or move the entire seat. (Since her baby always wants me to see what she’s looking at)

Space, comfort, and style

Another thing I loved was the shopping basket. It’s large, sturdy, and super accessible. I use it for small grocery runs when I’m in a hurry!

I can throw a bag of bread, fruit, baby wipes, or even my daughter’s favorite yogurt carton inside without it wobbling or feeling heavy. It literally saves me from carrying weight on my back.

Plus, the stroller comes with a cup holder for me (my soda always goes there) and folds with one hand. When I store it at home or in the car, it stays upright, so I don’t have to recharge it or fight with the trunk.

It fits through any doorway

And here’s something I really noticed while using it: it fits through regular doors, even when I have two kids in it!

I always saw other moms with double strollers struggling to open both doors at the grocery store or pharmacy because their strollers are too wide from side to side… but with the Joie Chive, which is a head-to-head configuration, you don’t have to. It fits through just one doorway, and that, believe me, is a huge relief when you’re alone with the kids and in a hurry.

Is it worth it if you only have one baby?

For me, absolutely yes. You don’t have to be pregnant again to take advantage of all the benefits of the Joie Chive. It’s a stroller designed to last, to adapt, and to simplify your daily life from the very first ride.

And if I ever decide to have another baby, I’m already halfway there.

My advice from mom to mom

If you’re looking for a beautiful, practical, and forward-thinking stroller, even if your family is doing well right now, the Joie Chive is an excellent option.

Because sometimes it’s not about having more…

but about choosing better.
